Cathy Grant
Founder & Executive Director

Cathy Grant is a passionate advocate for music education and the arts, serving as the Founder and Executive Director of Music Youth Partnership. She has championed many causes to benefit the welfare of children. Her commitment to fostering creativity in young people has been recognized with the 2024 Arts Educator Award from the City of Wichita Cultural Arts Council. She firmly believes in the power of a team to accomplish the impossible.

Born and raised on her great-grandparents’ homestead in North Central Kansas, Cathy’s early education in a one-room country school instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance. Deeply rooted in the pioneering legacy of her family, she approaches her mission with a deep partnership with God, who can do anything, and believing firmly in the power of music to transform lives.

Cathy is a 2021 graduate of Friends University and plays contra-bass flute in the Friends University Flute Choir. Outside of her professional endeavors, Cathy is a proud mother of David and Victoria Grant and a grandmother to Harper, Marlin, Willa and Elowen.
