A practicing public accountant with Adams Brown CPAs, Becker is currently pursuing his CPA license. Originating from Overland Park, KS, Becker has been a musician his whole life. His early music experiences benefitted him greatly in learning strong character, academic growth, and “can-do” attitude; all traits he hopes to see Music Youth Partnership teach its students.
Growing up in a divorced, single parent household, Becker was no stranger to the various barriers that the youth of today experience. However, through his pursuit of music, Becker was given several opportunities he otherwise would not have been given. These have included a musical trip overseas, several scholarships to a private college, and playing music professionally before the age of twenty-one.
Currently, Becker plays Bassoon and Bari Sax in various community ensembles in Wichita and Kansas City and is credited in various discography including The Whips “Never Change, Or Do” and other tracks as an anonymous horn player for various Wichita musicians.
Knowing that big dreams take well managed, big dollars, Becker is happy to offer his financial acumen to the board to assist in making responsible fiduciary decisions for the betterment of Music Youth Partnership and at-risk youth in Kansas.
