Claire Woody

Claire Woody is the President of Music Youth Partnership and Director of Bands at Mead Middle School in Wichita, KS. Having taught six years in a Title I school, she has seen first hand the frustrations and roadblocks that financial disparity can present to students. Claire is dedicated to the opportunities and connections that Music Youth Partnership can offer the students of the Wichita community.

She holds a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Special Education from Wichita State University, and is fully certified in the Kodály teaching methodology. In addition to teaching, Claire is involved in the musical community of Wichita and enjoys performing in various capacities. She and her husband Justin live just outside of Wichita and welcomed their first child, Aiden, in early 2022.
